Details of all events and workshops undertaken by the Water and Climate Coalition are outlined below:

Water and Climate, Bridging the Gap, Side Event 3rd June 2010

The Water and Climate Coalition hosted a side event on 'Water and Climate – Bridging the Gap' alongside the climate change negotiations in Bonn. The event served as the launch of the Water and Climate Coalition, outlining the objectives of the Coalition towards COP16, and sharing the key policy recommendations as outlined in the joint statement issued for the negotiations.

Hannah Stoddart, Policy Co-ordinator at Stakeholder Forum and Project Manager on the WCC Secretariat, delivered a presentation on the aims and objectives of the Coalition and also shared its key priorities towards COP16. To download the presentation please click here.

The event was also addressed by Alex Simalabwi of the Global Water Partnership, and Kolleen Bouchane of the Freshwater Action Network, both of whom expressed their support for the coalition as members, and outlined the advantages of coming together to promote integrated water and climate policy.

Launch of Water and Climate Coalition

Side Event, 3rd June, 18.00 – 19.30, Room Wind (MoE)

The Water and Climate Coalition will officially launch at a side event alongside the climate change negotiations in Bonn. The side event will offer an opportunity to find out more about the coalition, to discuss some of the key issues relating to water and climate change, and to identify the key priorities in relation to the UNFCCC negotiations.

There will be presentations by Stakeholder Forum, SIWI and members of the coalition including WWF and Freshwater Action Network.

Water day

The Water and Climate Coalition, in partnership with UN Water and the Global Water Partnership, organised a second Water Day on 2^nd June alongside the climate change negotiations in Bonn.
